Our Volunteer of the Season is Mary Cook!
Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden recognizes one volunteer each season whom we feel has done an outstanding job for the Garden. Volunteers are the heart of Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden. They generously give their time here at the Garden. Some volunteers come occasionally and some come to volunteer on a regular basis.
We would like to recognize someone who has been faithfully volunteering for PJCBG for almost 20 years, long before the Garden opened to the public! Our special volunteer has acted as the Garden's Assistant Corporate Secretary, maintaining the corporate books, attending Board of Director meetings, diligently recording, transcribing and promptly distributing the minutes along with any pertinent documents or exhibits. Our volunteer has also served as a Docent, introducing the public to the Garden during our Grand Opening in 2011.
Our Volunteer of the Season is Mary Cook! Mary's love of the Garden and all of Kernersville is obvious as she tirelessly sits through hours of monthly meetings, not only keeping track of the topics, but quick to keep us focused and moving forward, and quick to give a much appreciated opinion. Mary's real job is as legal secretary for John G. Wolfe III and her attention to detail and her loyal dedication has been invaluable to the Garden's success. Mary has also been extremely involved over the years with The K?rner's Folly Foundation and The Kernersville Museum.
Mary has, after all these years, decided to take a break from her regular role at the Garden but we know she will not be a stranger. We are truly blessed to have had her help for all of these years! Please join us in thanking her for her years of service. As a token of our appreciation, Mary was recently celebrated at a reception with John Wolfe as they retired from an active role in the life of the Garden. Again, thank you Mary, for all you have done for Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden.
