Volunteer at the Garden

Our volunteers are very important in helping our Garden grow. We appreciate all of our volunteers and would like to invite you to join us. No special skills are required!

Volunteer Opportunities at the Garden:

  • Gardening/Landscaping - Planting, weeding, mulching, digging, raking, pruning, mowing, label making
  • Greenhouse/Nursery - Propagating, potting, pruning, fertilizing
  • Office Support - Typing, filing, customer service, computer use, bookkeeping, database management
  • Welcome Center Desk - Answering the phone, meeting and greeting visitors, introducing the Garden to unscheduled groups, answering questions about the Garden
  • Retail Sales - Fall and Spring plant sales, Dolores and Wyatt LeFever Garden Gift Shop
  • Special Events - Setting up and breaking down, greeting and check in for monthly lecture, Annual Gala, symposia, etc.
  • Tour Guide/Docent - Leading tours of our buildings and Garden for scheduled groups
  • Hospitality - Food and flowers for Garden events
  • Gift Shop Guild - Creating unique items to sell in our Gift Shop
  • Special Skills you would like to share
