About the Event

Did you know that Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden has its very own ozone garden?

Ground-level ozone is a common air pollutant in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina and can cause serious injury to plants. Certain plants are especially sensitive to ozone exposure and can be monitored overtime to learn more about local air quality. Join us at the Garden to learn more about ozone gardening.

We will start indoors to learn the basics and then move outside to study the plants in our ozone garden. Be sure to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, or anything else you might need to be comfortable outside.

This program is for ages 10+
