Thank you for considering the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden as the backdrop for your next photo session!
While we are a public garden, we are also an event center. As such, reservations and a fee are required for all portrait photography sessions. Out of respect for all our renters and guests, we ask that all photography sessions adhere to the following policies. These policies are in place to help maintain the beauty of the garden and ensure that all rental agreements are honored
The Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden classifies photography sessions in two ways:
All portrait photography sessions require a reservation and $50 fee (per session) to reserve your time slot. All sessions are 90 minutes each and models must come camera-ready as no changing rooms are available at the garden.
Photographers who have not scheduled their sessions in advance may be approached by staff during their photo session regarding reservation requirements and payment. All photography sessions are expected to abide by our photography session policies.
Session availability is based on our private rental schedule and requires approval by our facility event staff.

For the Day of your Shoot
We ask that the following policies be followed by every member of the photography session

Have your Permit Ready
Please have a copy of your reservation permit handy when you arrive. If your reservation is during operational hours, please check in at the Welcome Center.
Help us Protect the Gardens
Confetti, glitter, chalk, powdered sprays, and balloon pieces are harmful to the environment and are prohibited. Please no picking plants, moving/removing plants, or rearranging displays.

Leave no Trace
Please take all personal items and materials with you when you leave!

Stay on Designated Paths
Please do not step in/on plant beds, railings, rock structures or benches. All equipment and props should stay on pathways or green spaces, not in plant beds.
Be Mindful of Other Guests
The garden will remain open to the public during photography sessions. Please be mindful of other guests and garden staff.
Come Prepared
Be sure to arrive camera-ready! Changing rooms will not be available during photo sessions. All participants should arrive dressed and ready.
