Photography Policy

All professional and non-professional portrait photographers using any area of Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden at any time please call the garden, 336-996-7888.

A $50.00 Fee is required for all portrait sessions. In order to fulfill a positive experience,

your fee supports future expansions of the garden and our mission...

Inspire, Enlighten and Connect!

  • All sessions are 90 minutes and must be scheduled in advance using the form at the bottom of this page at least 48 hours in advance.

  • A Garden Representative will be in touch within 24 hours of the next business day to confirm your date & time. Your reservation is not valid until payment has been received and a Garden Representative has confirmed your session.

  • In the event of inclement weather, sessions may be rescheduled.

  • Sessions start at the time reserved, not when the subject or photographer arrives.

  • The Garden reserves the right to restrict the times and locations of sessions.

  • The Garden is not closed to previously scheduled groups or to the general public during photography sessions.

General Guidelines for all Photographers

  • Photographers and subject may not stand in planting beds, please remain on paths.

  • Light stands and equipment may not be placed in planting bed.

  • No glitter, confetti, aerosol products, etc.

  • Do not disturb or remove plants, plant labels, containers, garden furniture, etc.

  • Drone photography is not allowed at the Garden.

  • Please leave your pets at home, Service Animals only.

Individuals who are not professional portrait photographers and are not charging a fee and/or who will not be using the photographs for commercial purposes in any form may photograph in the Garden without a fee.
