Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving. Generosity brings all of us together and gives everyone the power to make a positive change.

IT’S A DAY FOR EVERYONE TO STAND TOGETHER AND GIVE BACK.

The Garden relies on its staff, volunteers, and donors for its continued vitality and excellence. Your donation allows us to perform our basic garden maintenance and collaborate with local organizations including The Salvation Army, The Table Food Truck and First Christian Church, the Kernersville Public Library, and Kernersville YMCA to name a few.

On this GivingTuesday, please consider a gift to continue the Garden’s community driven programs, such as:

  • Maintaining our garden as a place of escape and solitude so that our community can visit throughout the year

  • The addition of new Garden spaces like the Conifer & Woody Plant Collection and the Lowland Meadow, and the expansions of existing spaces like the Discovery Garden and Japanese Garden vignettes

  • Our Spectacular Holiday Blooms (over 7,000 holiday blooms including tulips magnolia, lotus, crocus, daffodils, sunflowers, and poinsettias)

  • Donation our vegetables grown from our own raised beds to local food relief (over 5,500 lbs. since 2015)

  • Hosting existing programs like Lunch & Learns and Summer Thursday Lectures, and new programs including Storytime in the Garden, Movie on the Lawn, and Yoga.

From all of us at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden, THANK YOU for your support on this GivingTuesday and for every single day you help to enable our mission, “…inspire, enlighten and connect people of all ages to the world of plants, gardening and horticulture and to surprise visitors with our beauty and our scope.”

Since GivingTuesday relies on the limitless potential of social media, please share, tag us, and use the hashtag #GivingTuesday with your friends.
